Since winning the 2019 NBA Championship, the Toronto Raptors have slowly declined.

So much so that the Toronto Raptors have failed to clinch a playoff spot in the last three seasons in the NBA.

The organization most recently finished with a 30-52 record in the Eastern Conference. It’s clear that the Raptors need to rebuild their core to once again compete for the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Keeping that in mind, let’s take a look at what changes the Raptors front office made to the team’s roster ahead of the 2025-26 season.

With the Raptors trading for Brandon Ingram last season, it’s clear that they see him as one of the cornerstone players of the team.

Even with Ingram’s addition, the Raptors’ front office is taking things slow as they have only added one player to the roster from the open market.

Considering the most notable deal was Jakob Poeltl’s return, it seems obvious that the Raptors are planning for the future.

It’s a future where the Raptors will attempt to sign major free agents by keeping a lot of wiggle room in their cap space.

The 2025-26 NBA season will mark Darko Rajakovic’s third season in charge of the Raptors. However, fans shouldn’t expect an impressive result from the team.

If anything, the Raptors may slip to an even poorer record as they have allowed another key veteran from the 2018 NBA Championship-winning team to walk in free agency.

As far as the Raptors’ 2025-26 lineup, all eyes will be on Ingram’s debut season with the franchise. Aside from that, there’s not much to be happy about for Raptors fans.
