Vandals face off against Grizzlies in 90th Little Brown Stein rivalry game in Missoula

MOSCOW, ID – The No. 8-ranked Vandals will be taking on the No. 4-ranked Montana Grizzlies.

This will be the Little Brown Stein rivalry game.

Both teams coming into this game, the Vandals sit at 2-2 on the year.

The Grizzlies are coming in impressively at 3-0.

This is one of Idaho’s most storied rivalries.

This weekend will be the 90th meeting all-time between these two teams.

First game dates all the way back to 1903, when the Vandals won 28 to nothing.

But in 1938, the “Little Brown Stein” traveling trophy was introduced.

The Vandals have a substantial lead in the series of 56 to the Grizzlies’ 31 and two ties.

Idaho has had success in Missoula with a 23-16 record.

But the last matchup in 2023 saw Idaho fall at home in a close game, 21-23.

This game will take place in Missoula and will be on primetime ESPN 2.

Kick off will be at 7:15 pm Saturday, the 26TH.
