After trading away Kristaps Porzingis and losing Al Horford and Luke Kornet in free agency, the Boston Celtics have a significant void at the center position. Joe Mazzulla will now have to choose from a string of inexperienced big men, as he iterates through his rotations to find the best combinations. On paper, Neemias Queta is the most logical choice to anchor the middle of the floor in the upcoming season.

However, Luka Garza could also find himself fighting for starter minutes, while Chris Boucher and Xavier Tillman, Sr. are both alternative options if Mazzulla decides to go small and lean into an up-tempo offense that spaces the floor and gets out in transition. Regardless of who Mazzulla goes with, there will undoubtedly be an adjustment period.

They also debated who should be the starter and whether the lineup could change as the season progresses.
