We now know the final dates for six of UNC’s ACC matchups.
College basketball season can’t come soon enough, particularly if you’re a North Carolina Tar Heels fan. With a strong offseason and complete roster transformation, there’s plenty to be excited about in Chapel Hill.
Earlier in September, UNC released its full 2025-2026 season schedule. North Carolina is still awaiting game times for all regular-season contests, something it recently inched a step closer to.
On Wednesday afternoon, the ACC announced the remaining dates for six, mid-week Tar Heels games. UNC will host Florida State on December 30, travel to Stanford on January 14, host Notre Dame on Jan. 21, travel to Miami on Feb. 10, NC State on Feb. 17 and host Clemson on March 3.
In the coming weeks, you can except North Carolina to announces game times for a few, early-season opponents. The Tar Heels have their Blue-White Scrimmage coming up Saturday, October 4, preseason exhibitions at BYU (Oct. 24, 9 p.m. ET) and against Winston-Salem State (Oct. 29), then open regular season play against Central Arkansas on November 3.
Last year, UNC opened ACC play against Georgia Tech on Dec. 7, which proved to be a 68-65 victory for the good guys. North Carolina officially kicked off its 2024-2025 season on Nov. 4, vaulting past Elon late for a 14-point win.
After hosting the Seminoles, the Tar Heels will make their first-ever trip to SMU on January 3. Wake Forest comes to the Dean Dome a week later, followed by a West Coast trip to Stanford (Jan. 14) and Cal (Jan. 17). Notre Dame, Virginia (Jan. 24) and Georgia Tech (Jan. 31) round out January matchups.
UNC welcomes Syracuse to Chapel Hill on February 2, then continues its ACC schedule in winter’s final full month by hosting Duke five days later. North Carolina travels to Miami (FL) on Feb. 10, hosts Pitt four days later, then goes down east to Raleigh on Feb. 17. The Tar Heels face Syracuse (Feb. 21), Louisville (Feb. 23) and Virginia Tech (Feb. 28), host Clemson (March 3) in its home finale, then travel to Duke for their regular season finale.
