The UConn women’s basketball program will compete in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase on Nov. 21 and 23 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, it announced Tuesday.

UConn will open the event, which has adopted a tournament-style format, against Utah on Nov. 21. The Huskies will face either Syracuse or Michigan on Nov. 23.

This is the 12th-annual edition of the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase. UConn is 45-1 all-time at Mohegan Sun Arena.

UConn and Utah will be meeting in women’s basketball for the first time ever. The Utes finished 22-9 last season and lost to No. 9 seed Indiana in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The program has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance in recent years, first under coach Lynne Roberts, who helped guide the Utes to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year in 2023, then under Gavin Peterson, who guided the team back to the NCAAs this season. Peterson took over after Roberts left to take the L.A. Sparks job in the WNBA last November.

The Huskies are 41-12 all-time against Syracuse, and have never faced Michigan.

Tickets for the 2025 Invesco QQQ Women’s Showcase will go on sale Friday, Sept. 5, via Ticketmaster and on sale at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office starting Saturday, Sept. 6.

Details surrounding game times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
