As training camps across the league kick off in a few days, the Oklahoma City Thunder did some housecleaning on Friday to prepare for the next couple of weeks. The NBA champion announced some additions to their roster.
The Thunder have signed Chris Youngblood, Jazian Gortman and Zack Austin. While the details weren’t announced, they are presumably just Exhibit 10 deals to gain their G League rights. All three played for OKC in the 2025 Summer League. And perhaps with a strong showing, one of them could grab the final two-way spot.
Youngblood played in five college seasons from 2020-25. He had stops at Kennesaw State, USF and Alabama. He averaged 13.5 points on 45.1% shooting, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in his collegiate career. He also shot an impressive 39.3% from 3 on 5.6 attempts.
The 23-year-old went undrafted in the 2025 NBA draft. He took advantage of his opportunity in the Summer League. He was the standout player among the group of undrafted rookies that OKC added for the two-week event.
Gortman went undrafted in the 2023 NBA draft. He’s spent the last two years playing overseas and in the G League. He spent last season on the Dallas Mavericks’ G League affiliate Texas Legends. He averaged 20 points on 45% shooting, 6.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds.
Austin played in four college seasons from 2021-25. He had stops at High Point and Pittsburgh. He averaged 11 points on 42.3% shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in his collegiate career. The 24-year-old went undrafted in the 2025 NBA draft and proceeded to sign with OKC.
The Thunder will likely rely on all three players to play a big portion of their 2025-26 preseason schedule. That’s how it usually shakes out in the NBA, as the rotation players seldom play. Afterward, they’ll likely be added to the G League’s OKC Blue roster.
