ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Independent School District 2025 Raising Cane’s Key City Classic will be held in Abilene from Dec. 4-6, 2025, the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau announced Wednesday.
This annual invitational basketball tournament will feature teams from across Texas competing over three days, culminating in a championship match December 6.

Robert Lopez, vice president of the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau, said, “The Raising Cane’s Key City Classic has become a tradition that not only highlights the incredible talent of high school athletes but also showcases the strong community spirit of Abilene.”
The event is expected to generate 340 hotel room nights and an estimated $140,400 in economic impact for local businesses.
Games will be hosted at the Cooper High School and Abilene High School gyms.
