The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off an impressive season that saw them finish at the top of the Eastern Conference standings during the regular season.
Unfortunately for Cleveland, they were unable to make it out of the second round of the playoffs last season and they will look to bounce back this season.

Of course, the Cavaliers will enter the 2025-26 NBA season expected to be a top team in the East once again thanks to their core led by Donovan Mitchell, Darious Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

Cleveland also made some key additions to their roster this offseason as they acquired Lonzo Ball from the Chicago Bulls and signed both Thomas Bryant and Larry Nance Jr. in free agency.
With these moves, the Cavaliers are looking to clinch a top spot in the East once again this season to try and make a run at a championship.

Two players the Cavaliers could target this season in a trade are Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andre Drummond, both of whom have been in trade rumors as it was reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are open to moving them.

In a potential trade, the Cavaliers could send Max Strus and draft capital to the 76ers in exchange for Oubre Jr. and Drummond.

While moving on from Strus would be a tough decision for the Cavaliers to make, swapping him for two key players would give them even more roster depth.
For Oubre Jr., he is a great scorer and a solid defender who would give Cleveland a spark off the bench.

Last season, the 29-year-old forward averaged 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 47.0% from the field and 29.3% from three.
The veteran forward would be a solid replacement for Strus and would give the Cavaliers another lethal scorer and defender in their second unit behind their main core.

Drummond could also be a solid addition to Cleveland’s roster as he would provide them with another much-needed backup center behind Allen and Mobley.

Last season, the 32-year-old big man averaged 7.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 50.0% from the field.
The veteran center is a great inside scorer and an elite rebounder who would give the Cavaliers a much-needed big man off the bench.
By making this trade, the Cavaliers would add two more key players to their roster who could help them make a run at a championship this season.
