Outside of the Houston market, watching the Rockets play live basketball games is as simple as subscribing to NBA League Pass.
But as the designated local team, the Rockets are blacked out on NBA League Pass for fans in their home region. In turn, that forces fans to explore cable, satellite, and streaming services that provide Space City Home Network (SCHN) — the regional broadcast home of the Rockets.

SCHN, which is jointly owned by the Rockets and Major League Baseball’s Houston Astros, does not yet offer a direct-to-consumer service for strictly that channel. Thus, viewers will need to subscribe to a bundled package of channels that includes SCHN.

For the 2025-26 season, SCHN’s game broadcasts will again include live commentary from Craig Ackerman, Ryan Hollins, and Vanessa Richardson.
SCHN will air Houston’s entire preseason schedule (four games) along with all regular-season games (67 of 82) that are not exclusive to national TV. Audio of each game will also be available on the team’s radio broadcast home, SportsTalk 790 KBME and NewsRadio 740 KTRH, as well as in Spanish on TUDN 93.3 FM.
