The Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Charlie Brown Jr. and waived forward Tyler Burton in a corresponding roster move.

Brown Jr. has appeared in 49 NBA games across four seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks. The 6-6 guard has averaged 2.0 points and 1.1 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game during his NBA career.

The 28-year-old Philadelphia native went unselected in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Saint Joseph’s. He has compiled extensive G League experience with 172 games played across six seasons for multiple affiliates including the College Park Skyhawks, Iowa Energy, Delaware Blue Coats, Westchester Knicks and Raptors 905.

Brown averaged 14.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals in 29.8 minutes per game during his G League career. He has also competed for NBA G League Elite.

Burton signed with Memphis on September 6 and appeared in two preseason games for the Grizzlies. The 6-7 forward averaged 1.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 8.2 minutes during the preseason.

The 25-year-old Massachusetts native went unselected in the 2024 NBA Draft out of Villanova. Burton played eight games last season for the Memphis Hustle, the Grizzlies’ G League affiliate, averaging 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 23.8 minutes.
