Giannis Antetokounmpo’s name might be dangled in trade rumors, but his loyalty remains with the Milwaukee Bucks for now. The Greek Freak remains committed to the team, despite their not-so-great offseason additions.

And why wouldn’t he be? The Bucks just signed his younger brother, Alex Antetokounmpo, to a two-way contract this season. That means that there will be three Antetokounmpo siblings playing on the same team – a first in league history.

With his future, at least this season, seemingly secured, the 30-year-old forward is now solely focused on the Bucks’ campaign this preseason and beyond. In a preseason game against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder, Giannis reminded everyone of his capabilities on the floor when given the ball. The clip first appeared on the NBA’s official account on X.

Four Thunder players tried to stop the nine-time all-star, to no avail. Giannis is just too strong and too tall for OKC’s defenders. He was arguably fouled on his first attempt, but made sure to get the call and the basket after the play. If this is a prelude to how coach Doc Rivers will utilize Antetokounmpo for the rest of the season, then he might win another MVP award soon.

The 2021 champ transitioning into coaching? That may be hard to believe. He has the passion, though. In a previous preseason game, cameras caught the Athens-born superstar drawing up plays while on the bench. Well, let’s revisit that idea a decade from now. He could probably become a head coach, but it’s unlikely that it will be at the NBA level.

Antetokounmpo has publicly stated that he wants to return to Greece once his NBA career is over. He even went as far as to say that he’s considering suiting up for a Greek team for one year before calling it quits.
