We will conservatively say a lot of change this offseason for the Milwaukee Bucks.
But they do have Giannis, and if we’re talking about excitement level, it starts with Giannis for me.
At worst, he is a top three player in basketball.
You mean to tell me that dude’s gonna have the ball in his hands with a bunch of shooting around him, or at the very least a bunch of small screeners around him to invert things?
Sign me up.
Giannis is my preseason MVP pick and I’m excited to watch him operate within this context with more responsibility on both ends.
Of the floor, but particularly offensively.

I think he’s gonna be handling the ball a lot.
I think the spacing is gonna be good enough for him to demolish teams in.
We start with Giannis.
And then secondarily, hey, pay AJ Green.
He’s good, he can shoot, he can screen, he fights defensively.
I think he’s just a good player.
I’ll sprinkle that in, but I’m ready for you, Steve.
Uh, what excites you most about this Bucks team?
Well, let’s stick with this Giannis deal because typically I am the Giannis MVP rep around here, so I’m intrigued.
Uh, they’re gonna have to win some games for that to happen, and uh, I imagine that this is a team.
The teams are gonna double team Giannis in the post, and they’re gonna trap and they’re gonna make someone else make plays.

So that part gets interesting.
I think obviously Giannis is set to have a great season.
He’s gonna be aggressive.
I think he’s gonna play a pace tempo.
He’s gonna be responsible for a lot of what they do.
What do they do around that, and does the defense respect anyone outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Miles Turner is a pretty good fit if you’re gonna lose Brook Lopez, so you’re gonna have a little bit more defense, to a degree, but you’re also gonna have someone who can space the floor, like a short roll who can do different things.
So I think watching them play together should be interesting and fun.
But I’m a little, I’m a little cautious about how the league is gonna treat the Milwaukee Bucks.
This feels like a good process, we don’t care type of season, to a degree.
