One New York Knicks player is apparently coming into the new season as an absolute unit.
Knicks fans were shocked this week at the team’s official roster list heading into the 2025-26 campaign. Most notably, Knicks forward Guerschon Yabusele was listed at a shocking weight.
Despite being only 6-foot-8, Yabusele clocked in at a whopping 283 pounds. That made him the heaviest player on a Knicks roster featuring multiple seven-footers.

The 29-year-old Yabusele was officially listed last season at 260 pounds. At 283, he would immediately become one of the heaviest players in the entire NBA along with the likes of Zach Edey (305), Jusuf Nurkic, (290), Nikola Jokic (284), and Zion Williamson (284). Most of those guys are seven feet tall or close to it.
Yabusele averaged 11.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game over 70 appearances last season for the Philadelphia 76ers before signing with the Knicks this summer (having alleged that he was lowballed by the 76ers). The French native plays primarily at the forward position, but he might be putting himself in the conversation for some center minutes with a build like that.
