The Los Angeles Clippers are revamping their broadcast setup for the 2025-26 season, per a press release, landing former ESPN anchor Stan Verrett to host their FanDuel Sports Network coverage while bringing back two former Clippers as analysts.
Verrett, a longtime national sports anchor known for his smooth delivery and charisma in front of SportsCenter cameras for years, will take over hosting duties for “Clippers Live,” the team’s pregame, halftime, and postgame studio show.
 Â
RedZone for Basketball?
Here’s where things get intriguing: Verrett isn’t just doing Clipper games for FanDuel. He’s also anchoring a brand-new daily show that could open up a new category for basketball content.
“FanDuel Sports Network Countdown Live” will air for an hour every weekday right before local coverage starts, giving viewers a look at what’s happening across the entire NBA. Think of it like the highly popular NFL RedZone but for basketball, with “on-site reporting and analysis, look-ins to warmups, breaking news, and more.”
That’s a pretty bold move for a regional sports network that traditionally would focus almost exclusively on the home team.
Former Clippers Bring New Aspect
The network is also bringing nostalgia into the fold, and it’s not about Chris Paul’s return either. Rather by adding Brent Barry and Paul’s former Clipper teammate Matt Barnes as pregame and postgame analysts.

The Clippers are ditching the traditional studio setup outside the court or behind the scenes and moving pregame and postgame shows right to courtside this season as well, creating a more immersive feel.
Brian Sieman returns as the play-by-play voice, with Jaime Maggio and Lauren Rosen handling courtside reporting in the absence of Kristina Pink, who is now a sideline reporter with Amazon Prime.
Maggio is a frequent contributor to multiple local and national outlets, and Rosen, who will also be hosting a show on NBA TV in a new position, has experience from coast-to-coast covering the NBA.
Barry, a former first-rounder who played three seasons with the Clippers from 1995 to 1998 and worked with TNT from 2013 to 2018, brings a sharp basketball mind to the booth. Barnes, who spent 14 years in the NBA, including two separate runs with the Clippers (2004 and 2012-15), is definitely a fan favorite to this day.Â

His show, “All the Smoke” with Stephen Jackson, has been growing since its inception in 2020, and he will bring a more relaxed and connective voice to the crew.
Both guys will join existing analysts Jim Jackson (who will also be doing national games) and the legendary Mike Fratello, giving the broadcast a solid rotation of voices with different viewpoints on the FanDuel Sports Network cast.
The Small Details
The broadcast overhaul comes as FanDuel Sports Network plans to televise at least 70 Clippers games during the 2025-26 season, and the revamped crew will make its debut with the team’s season opener against Utah on October 22.
Nine games will also be simulcast on KTLA 5, starting with a November 16 road game against the Celtics, giving casual fans without cable or streaming subscriptions a chance to tune in, which is something I will always be a fan of.
For Clippers fans, landing someone like Verrett is a huge presence boost for the broadcast team, and adding Barry and Barnes means you’re getting analysis from guys who actually wore the uniform and understand what it is like to be in a Clipper locker room.
“Countdown Live” is just the cherry on top. For years, it has been a want from NBA fans to have a show that keeps track of all the games, and now FanDuel is seemingly giving basketball fans a variation of that style of content.Â
