About 30 minutes before Tuesday’s season opener against Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, the OKC Thunder received their championship rings and unveiled the 2024-25 banner celebrating OKC’s first title.

Each member of the championship team received their own ring, made by Jostens, that features over 800 custom-cut, hand-set gemstones with a ring-within-the-ring feature.

The face of the ring is adorned with the familiar diamond-laced OKC Thunder shield atop the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy and bordered with NBA CHAMPIONS, deservedly made of over 100 diamonds set in 14-karat gold.

The outside parts of the ring include a personalized engraving of the player’s last name, a ring of genuine blue sapphires atop a band of princess-cut genuine orange sapphires.

On the outer palm side of the ring, the Oklahoma City Gates of Time and Reflecting Pool of the Oklahoma City National Memorial are featured on each ring.

The shape of the gate is engraved into the 14-karat white gold between two genuine round sapphires, characterizing the water reflecting between them.

The official motto of Oklahoma, “Labor omnia vincit,” is embellished alongside the interior palm side of the ring as a tribute to both the efforts of Oklahomans and all that contributed to the Thunder’s evolution to their first of hopefully many NBA Championship titles.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC survive Houston in double-OT classic

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a team-high 35 points — including the winning free throws with 2.3 seconds left in double overtime — to lift the reigning champion Thunder past the Rockets for a 125-124 win Tuesday night at Paycom Center.

Up next for the Thunder is a trip to Indianapolis to face the Pacers in an NBA Finals rematch at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (ESPN).
