Three home games was a smooth way for the injury-riddled Memphis Grizzlies to limp into the start of the 2025-26 season.
That stretch is over, and here comes the toughest test to date. The Grizzlies are on the road for two games, beginning with Oct. 27 to face the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry at Chase Center in San Francisco.
The teams last met in an NBA play-in tournament game in April, won by the Warriors. That was one of three times the Grizzlies and Warriors met in the postseason since 2021.
Both rosters have changed, but the core remains similar. Grizzlies stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. have had their share of battles against Golden State.
Curry and defensive anchor Draymond Green lead the Warriors, but their team also added All-Star forward Jimmy Butler to compile a Big Three.
Memphis may have its own big three soon with the recent play of rookie forward Cedric Coward. He’s coming off a 27-point performance and six made 3-pointers in the Grizzlies’ 128-103 win over the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 25.
Memphis is 52-58 all-time against the Warriors.
