SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Clippers have revealed their roster for the upcoming NBA G League season. They open up their 50 game season against the Stockton Kings on November 8. This will give them just under two weeks to figure out what their rotation will look like.
With the NBA G League, they run their season within the NBA regular season, but the way they differ is through their unique tournament system and then later on a regular season. Per the NBA G League website, “The 2025-26 NBA G League season structure will include two parts. The first segment is the 14-game Tip-Off Tournament. All 31 teams will compete in the Tip-Off Tournament which will culminate at the NBA G League Winter Showcase with the Winter Showcase Championship Game. Teams will be separated into four regions where they will play 14 games against one another in said regions in NBA G League markets.”
Also according to the NBA G League — “The teams with the best winning percentage in each region, along with the next four teams with the best winning percentages regardless of region, will advance to compete for the Championship at the NBA G League Winter Showcase. These top eight teams will play in a single-elimination tournament with the winner and runners-up competing for a trophy and a monetary prize pool. Every team will play at least two games at the NBA G League Winter Showcase.”
After the first part of the season, each team has their record reset, and they start a 36-game regular season, which leads into the G League Playoffs which take place in April.
The Clippers missed the playoffs last season with a 12-22 record.
The roster consists of a few new players, as well as returners.
The two-way players for the Los Angeles Clippers will be participating in training camp. Jordan Miller, Kobe Sanders, and Jahmyl Telfort take those spots. Jaelen House, Shakur Daniel and Patrick Baldwin Jr. are the only returners.
That leaves Matt Allocco, Desmond Cambridge Jr., Ileri Ayo-Faleye, Zach Freemantle, Taylor Funk, Derek Ogbeide, John Poulakidas, Jason Preston and Tyty Washington Jr. as the new comers to this San Diego squad. With that being said, the roster is not finalized and could look different come opening night.
For fans looking to attend games, the Clippers will have their home opener on November 14 at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside. There will also be themed nights with special giveaways for fans, while supplies last. Tickets are available for purchase now.
As the season opener inches closer, this Clippers squad at first glance has a lot of experience and could perform better than last season. It’s just a matter of the coaching staff figuring out what direction they want to take, and fans will see the first glance of that on November 8.
