For tomorrow’s game against the Hawks, the Nets say that Ziaire Williams (lower back/glute contusion) is QUESTIONABLE while Haywood Highsmith (right knee injury recovery) is OUT.

Egor Demin should be AVAILABLE while Drake Powell and Danny Wolf were recalled from Long Island.

The Brooklyn Nets are having a rough 2025-26 NBA season to this point as they are 0-4 following some demoralizing defeats against some of the better teams in the league. Brooklyn has been relatively healthy to begin the season, but they could be missing a key player for their matchup on Wednesday against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.

The Nets announced on Tuesday that forward Ziaire Williams is questionable for Wednesday’s home game against the Hawks due to his lower back/glute contusion. Williams initially suffered the injury in Sunday’s 118-107 loss at the San Antonio Spurs and despite hoping to not miss any time with the ailment, he was ruled out for Monday’s 137-109 loss at the Houston Rockets.

Williams was hoping that he would be able to play against Kevin Durant and the Rockets, but it seems like Brooklyn chose to rest him for the second night of a back-to-back given how much the team has traveled to begin this campaign. Williams being listed as questionable as opposed to out appears to indicate that his condition has improved since the last time that the medical staff has evaluated his injury.

The good news is that the Nets should be getting some reinforcements against the Hawks in the form of rookies Egor Demin, Drake Powell, and Danny Wolf. Demin, who missed Monday’s loss to the Rockets as the Nets manage his plantar fascia recovery, is available while Powell and Wolf were recalled from Long Island, seemingly making them available as well.

Wolf has yet to make his NBA regular season debut so it will be interesting to see if the forward has recovered from his ankle injury enough to be able to play against Atlanta. Even if he can’t go, having Demin and Powell back in the lineup should bring some energy and life to a Nets lineup that could sure use a spark in any way at this point of the season.
