I’m told Clippers second round two way contract rookie Kobe Sanders is week to week with a right knee sprain. Injury occurred over the weekend. Optimism that he can play sometime in December but that’s two injured two-way contracts before October ended (Jordan Miller, hamstring).

LA Clippers rookie guard Kobe Sanders is reportedly expected to miss a period of time due to a right knee sprain, according to Law Murray of The Athletic.

Sanders totaled nine minutes across the first two games of the season before sustaining the injury last weekend. He is considered to be week-to-week with the injury, though the team is optimistic that he can return to play at some point in December.

The setback to Sanders is the latest injury to hit the Clippers, with guard Jordan Miller (hamstring) and fellow rookie Yanic Konan Niederhäuser (ankle) currently sidelined.

Sanders was an All-Mountain West third-team selection last season at Nevada, averaging 15.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals. He played the first four years of his career at Cal Poly, earning an All-Big West honorable mention during the 2023-24 season

The 50th pick in the draft finished the preseason averaging 11 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists on 42.9% shooting from 3-point range in three appearances. He produced 25 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in their preseason finale on Oct. 17.

Sanders will split time this season between the NBA and G League on a two-way contract. The team was eager to add him to the roster and will be hopeful he’ll miss minimal time.
