Oklahoma City Thunder vs Sacramento Kings Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder have looked almost overwhelmingly dominant as of late. Last season, they cruised to the championship title, and it’s clear that their ambitions remain exactly the same this year. The team managed to keep all of its key players over the summer, so there’s no reason to believe things will be any different this time around. The start of the new campaign has already hinted at another impressive season, as Oklahoma City are currently riding a four-game winning streak. Interestingly, they faced some early challenges in their first two outings — both against the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers, where they needed overtime to secure victories. However, they quickly found their rhythm, following up with a comfortable 117–100 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Heading into this matchup, they had a tricky road game against the Dallas Mavericks but delivered an excellent performance, particularly on the defensive end. They held the home team to just 94 points, showing once again how effective their defensive schemes can be. The turning point came in the third quarter, when the Thunder exploded for 39 points while allowing only 27, building an 18-point lead that they never relinquished. A team of their quality wasn’t about to let an upset happen, even though the Mavericks made some attempts to rally late in the game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again led the way with another brilliant performance. The Canadian superstar — and reigning MVP — finished the game with 23 points and eight assists. Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein also impressed, each recording a double-double: Holmgren tallied 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Hartenstein contributed 16 points and 12 boards.
The Sacramento Kings enter the new season with a significantly changed roster compared to the version we saw a few years ago under De’Aaron Fox’s leadership. However, their ambitions remain largely the same. The team’s goal is once again to secure a playoff spot and possibly produce a surprise or two once they get there. To be fair, though, that plan doesn’t look particularly realistic based on their first three games of the new campaign. The Kings opened the season on the road against the Phoenix Suns, where they didn’t impress much and suffered a 120–116 loss. After that, they managed to edge out the Utah Jazz in a tight finish, winning 105–104.
Leading up to this matchup, the team suffered a home defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers, who prevailed 127–120. The Kings opened that game very poorly, allowing the visitors to build a nine-point lead after just one quarter. They managed to recover and head into halftime on even terms, but their defense completely fell apart in the second half, giving up 65 points over the final two quarters. The standout performer for Sacramento was Zach LaVine, who dropped 32 points. Dennis Schröder and Domantas Sabonis both recorded double-doubles — the German guard scored 18 points and added 12 assists, while the Lithuanian big man contributed 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Injuries and Suspensions
The Oklahoma City Thunder will be weakened for this game, as Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber, and Kenrich Williams are out, while Alex Caruso, Jalen Williams, and Isaiah Joe are questionable. For the visiting team, Nique Clifford and Keegan Murray will not play.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Sacramento Kings Best Betting Tip and Prediction
Even though the Oklahoma City Thunder enter this game slightly fatigued, they are still deservedly considered the clear favorites. The quality they possess at nearly every position is considerably higher than what Sacramento has to offer. Moreover, in their previous meetings, it was evident that the Sacramento Kings simply have no tactical or personnel answer for Oklahoma City Thunder’s style of play. Therefore, our prediction is a home win for the Thunder, with them covering the proposed handicap.
