The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Washington Wizards on Thursday. This is the second of a three-game homestand for OKC. This will be the first matchup of the season between the two squads.

The Thunder (5-0) had another close victory. They escaped with a 107-101 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 31 points and nine rebounds. It felt like a game they were going to lose until they had a strong finish.

Meanwhile, the Wizards (1-3) have been a lot more fun than anticipated. They dropped a 139-134 OT loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. Alex Sarr had his best career game yet with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Kyshawn George also had 20 points.

For live updates and highlights from the Thunder’s game against the Wizards, regularly check back to this post:

Some much-needed outside buckets by Gilgeous-Alexander, Mitchell and Williams to close the quarter. The Wizards cut it to a one-point contest before that. The crowd was beginning to get upset with each frustrating miss. The outside shooting woes continue.

McCollum with the 2nd-chance 3-pointer. The Thunder call a timeout as they haven’t gone on a massive run yet. The Wizards are doing just enough to hang around.

Gilgeous-Alexander is making it look easy with 20 points already. Joe has been a blessing with his outside shooting. They’ve carried OKC’s offense. The Wizards have done a nice job of hanging around. Feels like this should be a larger lead than it is.

Some pretty rough misses around the rim for the Thunder. Coulibaly’s layup forces OKC to call a timeout. The bench lineup has had chances to add to its lead, but hasn’t been able to do so. Meanwhile, the Wizards can’t seem to get out of their own way with some sloppy turnovers.

Great finish by the Thunder. Gilgeous-Alexander took over with a couple of and-one buckets. Joe has been a nice punch off the bench. Let’s see if they can keep it going in the second frame and grow their lead against the young Wizards.

Coulibaly gets the transition dunk. Another slow start for the short-handed OKC. Been a lot of misses by both sides to start.

The Thunder will start Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cason Wallace, Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Hartenstein. The Wizards will start CJ McCollum, Bilal Coulibaly, Kyshawn George, Khris Middleton and Alex Sarr.
