The Memphis Grizzlies will open their first game of NBA Cup play against the Los Angeles Lakers at FedExForum (8:30 p.m., Prime Video).

Memphis (3-2) finished off a two-game road trip with a win against the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 29.

The Lakers (3-2) also won their last game, and they should get some help against Memphis. Lakers star Luka Doncic is probable to play, meaning he’ll likely make his return after missing the last three games with a left finger sprain and lower leg contusion.

Former Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart is also probable to play after dealing with a right quad contusion. Smart and former Grizzlies forward Jake LaRavia will both be playing in Memphis for the first time since being traded in February.

GG Jackson is questionable to play for the Grizzlies with an illness.

This will be the first game in a stretch where Memphis will play five of its next six games at home. The Grizzlies are 41-69 against the Lakers overall, including losing the last three.
