The Toronto Raptors (2-4) host the Memphis Grizzlies (3-3) tonight at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Toronto snapped a four-game skid with a 112-101 win over a short-handed Cleveland Cavaliers team, bouncing back after losses to the San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, and Houston Rockets.
The Raptors’ frontcourt trio of Brandon Ingram, Scottie Barnes, and RJ Barrett has carried the offense, each averaging around 20 points per game. While undersized, their scoring efficiency and versatility have kept Toronto competitive.
Memphis, meanwhile, comes in unsettled. Ja Morant remains out, serving a one-game suspension after publicly criticizing the coaching staff. His on-court struggles continue — he scored just eight points on 3-of-14 shooting in a 117-112 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and has shot between 25% and 35% from the field in multiple games this season.
With Morant sidelined, Jaren Jackson Jr. (17.2 PPG) will shoulder much of the offensive burden, while rookie Cedric Coward — averaging 15.5 points off the bench — continues to emerge as a bright spot for the Grizzlies.
Predictions
With the Grizzlies’ morale shaken and missing Morant, Toronto should edge it in a competitive game.
Prediction: Raptors 116, Grizzlies 110
