Lauri Markkanen has been the lone bright spot for a Jazz team that has gotten scorched defensively in its past three games.

Shot-blocking and rebounding specialist Walker Kessler is in Utah while dealing with left shoulder bursitis, leaving an already porous defense without its No. 1 contributor.

Offseason acquisition Georges Niang remains out with a stress reaction in his left foot, but Utah does get some good news on the injury front. Second-year PG Isaiah Collier is likely to make his season debut after a hamstring issue kept him out for the entirety of the preseason and the first six games of the season.
