Top DFS Pick

PG Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls, $9,900

I think we’re just at the point where Maxey is a must-play if his salary is below $10,000. The Kentucky product is second in the NBA in points per game (33.7), and while a big part of that is Maxey shooting 46.4% from three-point range through six games, this is mostly a result of pure volume. Nick Nurse hates his bench. It doesn’t matter what year it is. It doesn’t matter what team it is. Unless the bench in question is Marc Gasol, Fred VanVleet and Norman Powell, it is not good enough for Nick Nurse. That’s how you get Maxey averaging a league-high 42.5 minutes per game only two weeks into the regular season. That’s how you get Maxey taking taking a league-high 22.7 shots per game, too. I’m not sure if this workload is sustainable across six months, but Maxey is fresh at the moment and he’s exceeded 60 DKFP four times in 2025-26. I’ll keep riding with the hot hand.

Top Value Pick

SF Kon Knueppel, Charlotte Hornets at New Orleans Pelicans, $5,500

If Knueppel’s $5,500 salary isn’t quite enough of a “value” for you, Sion James ($4,100) is your guy. But to me, any player with this much upside, priced this modestly, needs to be talked about. First and foremost, the former fourth-overall pick is already in the midst of a solid rookie campaign, averaging 14.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest with a stunning .616 true shooting percentage. However, when you factor in the absences of LaMelo Ball (ankle) and Brandon Miller (shoulder), things get really tantalizing. In Sunday’s win over the Jazz, with both Ball and Miller unavailable, Knueppel finished with a career-high 24 points in a team-high 35.5 minutes. He’d also add six rebounds, five assists and a steal, equating out to an impressive 43.0 FPTS. Now, Knueppel and the Hornets will get to face-off with the lowly Pelicans, who haven’t played a lick of defense all season. In fact, New Orleans comes into Tuesday allowing 124.2 opponent points per 100 possessions — the worst mark in the Western Conference.
