Wisconsin football fans don’t see all doom and gloom after Oregon loss

The Brewers out scored the badgers in October

— Derek Krivinchuk (@dkrivinchuk) October 26, 2025

Take away the very fortuitous jump ball to Hilton and Hunter Simmons was 6 of 20 for 44 yards. Literally impossible to win with such incompetent QB play no matter how good your defense plays.

— Bill Pfeiffer (@billt209) October 26, 2025

Good effort by some young players, but as always not enough to offset terrible QB play and utter lack of a passing game. I’m not interested in platitudes about how “this was a step forward” when we all know more big steps backward lie ahead.

— Russ Evansen (@waunaruss) October 26, 2025

If Fickell could coach against Lanning every game the Badgers would have the same record but be way less of an embarrassment.

— Scott Smith (@wScotthFan) October 26, 2025

There are legitimate building blocks in this freshman class.

— Marcus J (@markjarthur) October 26, 2025

Vinny Anthony still running to Madison on the INT if we would play a QB that can throw the ball 🏈 with any accuracy. Carter smith better be playing the last 4 games of the season to build for next year Edward’s can leave we need to build a multi year QB & he won’t lose redshirt! pic.twitter.com/YVM5c3Pmix

— Denton (@bigd71pdc) October 26, 2025

Great effort! Polar opposite styles. Lanning smiling, excited, hugs after big plays. Does Fick ever interact with players? First touchdown in three weeks and he looked like someone just told him his dog got run over

— Badgerbuss (@badgerbuss) October 26, 2025

Kids have not quit, they proved that!

— Patrick Whalen (@_Pdublu) October 26, 2025

My fear is all our young talent will bolt after this year. My hope is they give Carter Smith a chance after the bye since he can play 4 games and not affect his red shirt but the offensive coaching staff seems too inept to logically do that

— Sconnie1 (@LanceHudgens) October 26, 2025

How sad that Fick’s two best games are L’s to UO?
How sad that a QB with 30% completion? is our starter?
How sad that our best Rb was 4th string?
How sad that our best performance was tonight?

The players haven’t quit.

They haven’t been given a chance under Fick
