MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Grizzlies fans across Memphis hung their heads Wednesday after learning that Tony Allen, affectionately called “The Grindfather” in the Bluff City, was arrested in Arkansas on drug charges.

Most people in the city know who Allen is and of his history in Memphis. But the man arrested alongside Allen, the driver of the car Allen was in at the time of the traffic stop, has a history of his own.

Officers charged William Hatton with possession of less than two grams of meth or cocaine, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and making an improper lane change.

Mid-South wrestling fans may also know Hatton by his wrestling name of “Bam Bam Bundy.” FOX13 discovered a connection between Allen and Hatton. Both men appear in an online advertisement for a Jonesboro hardware store called Infinite Interior Hardware.

Wednesday’s arrest wasn’t Hatton’s first run-in with the law. In January 2016, Hatton was charged by the Collierville Police Department with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He faced similar possession charges in Collierville in January 2013.

In September 2012, the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office charged Hatton with criminal trespassing.
