Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram was fined $25,000 by the NBA for forcibly throwing his water bottle during the Raptors’ 130-120 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, the league announced Monday.

The incident occurred in the third quarter while Ingram was on the bench. The star forward slammed a plastic water bottle onto the court, sending water splashing onto a game attendant and striking teammate Scottie Barnes in the face. The spillage caused a game delay to dry the court, which likely resulted in the fine. He did not react after the throw and watched others help clean the spill in front of him.

Ingram appeared to be frustrated after a potential injury scare happened just plays before. He pulled up gingerly after fouling 76ers forward Trenton Watford on a drive. Ingram has struggled with injuries; he missed over 180 games during his six seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans and did not play for the Raptors last season after being traded to them midway through the season.

The forward is averaging 21.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game on 51 percent shooting this season. He’s averaging over 33 minutes per game in 10 contests this season. Toronto signed the forward to a three-year, $120 million contract extension, which includes a player option.

The Raptors are 5-5 this season entering Tuesday night’s contest against the Brooklyn Nets. The team’s loss to Philadelphia snapped a four-game win streak.
