At 7-4, the Milwaukee Bucks are off to a strong start in the Eastern Conference. At the time of this writing, Milwaukee is statistically tied for the No. 3 seed in the conference standings and is only one loss off the No. 2 New York Knicks. The Bucks’ success has unsurprisingly come on the back of incredible play from perennial MVP-caliber superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been dominant.
Unfortunately for the Bucks, it sounds like they will be without their franchise talisman for a road game in Charlotte on Wednesday night.
Antetokounmpo will officially sit out with a knee injury, which sounds more like Milwaukee trying to give its best player rest amid a brutal stretch of games stacked on top of games:
The Bucks are 1-0 without Antetokounmpo this season, having defeated the Golden State Warriors on October 30. So, theoretically, they might be OK without him against the Hornets. Antetokounmpo is averaging 33.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.3 blocks, and just about a steal per game so far this year.
