The Oklahoma City Thunder will travel to face the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. This will be the first matchup of the season between the two squads. It’s the start of a mini two-game road trip for OKC.

The Thunder (12-1) have won four in a row. Back-to-back blowout victories sent a message to the rest of the NBA. They humiliated the Los Angeles Lakers in a 121-92 win on Wednesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 30 points and nine assists in three quarters.

Meanwhile, the Hornets (4-8) are on the second night of a road-and-home back-to-back. They suffered a 147-134 OT loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. It was part of the 2025 NBA Cup group play. Kon Knueppel and Miles Bridges each scored 32 points.

Thunder 131, Hornets 112: Both of these teams are on opposite sides of the NBA highway. The Thunder are the reigning NBA champions. They’ve looked like the best team in the league. Meanwhile, the Hornets are in another losing season. While they score video-game numbers, that hasn’t resulted in success. This should be a relatively easy win for OKC. If everything goes right, Gilgeous-Alexander should be able to rest another fourth quarter. They’re just simply better than Charlotte.

ODDS: Thunder by 16.5 points
