The Dallas Mavericks (3-9) host the Portland Trailblazers (6-6) on Sunday night. It’s the first night of a back-to-back for the Mavericks and the start of a five games in seven nights run. The NBA is hard. Portland lost to the Houston Rockets on Friday night.
Here’s the main things you need to know before the game kicks off.
The Mavericks will be without Kyrie Irving, Dante Exum, and Anthony Davis (Davis will miss another week at least with his calf issue). PJ Washington and Cooper Flagg are on the report but are listed as available. The Blazers gave a pretty lengthy list as well: Jrue Holiday, Scoot Henderson, Matisse Thybulle, and a whole lot more are on the report.
This is a game I think the Mavericks can steal if they play a decent game on offense. Both these teams play at a high pace and so far Portland’s been slightly more efficient on offense this season.
As you can tell below, you can join me in a room on Playback (embed below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 10:15 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
