The Chicago Bulls (6-5) face the Utah Jazz (4-8) tonight at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
Chicago finally gets some reinforcements. Coby White is set to make his season debut after missing the first 11 games, and Josh Giddey — who was averaging nearly a triple-double (21.4 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 9.3 APG) before his injury — is also expected to return.
The Bulls desperately need the help. After a 5–0 start, they’ve dropped four straight during one of the tougher stretches of their schedule.
White’s return brings immediate scoring: he averaged 20.4 points last season and surged to 27.7 per game last March after the Zach LaVine trade.
Utah is in a skid of its own, losing four of its last five. Former Bull Lauri Markkanen is having the best statistical year of his career, averaging 29.3 points with a 51-point outburst in October.
But behind him and Keyonte George (21.3 PPG), the Jazz have struggled to generate consistent offense — an issue worsened by the season-ending injury to center Walker Kessler.
One bright spot: rookie Ace Bailey, the No. 5 pick, is settling in with back-to-back 20-plus point performances as his role expands. Expect to see him more often on highlight reels in the coming weeks.
Prediction
With Chicago welcoming back two high-usage creators and Utah lacking depth behind its top scorers, the Bulls enter with a clearer path to balanced offense. Expect White and Giddey to lift Chicago out of its skid, while Markkanen keeps Utah competitive but not quite close enough.
Prediction: Bulls 128, Jazz 116
