New Orleans is the only city in the league where there isn’t a group of fans that come Early to see Steph warm up.

Pelicans have got to have the most Apathetic fan base in the NBA.

Can’t really blame them due to the way the team is run.

That’s from Nick Fridell, now in New Orleans making his Yahoo Sports daily debut right now.

It’s early in the morning to be up in New Orleans.

We’re impressed.

Uh, Nick, I appreciate you hanging out.

Buddy.

Uh, all right, so let’s just start there.

Is New Orleans on the brink of losing their NBA franchise?

Uh, it remains to be seen whether that’s the case right now.

Fitz, but after what I saw last night, I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility.

When you follow the Warriors, as I am now again after doing so years ago, It is a traveling roadshow.

It is the biggest.

Joy that the NBA can offer because many people come out of the woodwork to see Steph Curry and Draymond, and to watch that group because of what they represent, All those championships through the years.

To see a town so apathetic toward basketball and its own community Team.

I mean, Fitz, the key here is the Pelicans.

Are terribly run.

They’ve never found success.

Zion’s always been hurt.

Anthony Davis was hurt before him.

OK, but Steph is supposed to bring Full House and bring joy and Bring all kinds of fans there to see him.

And when you have a half-empty arena to watch Steph Curry and the Warriors play.

If you’re the NBA, you have big, big problems.

So, uh, I think this is a real red flag for New Orleans as a whole.

If you can’t fill it up to see Steph, uh, it doesn’t matter.

Uh, I mean, if I were Adam Silver, I’m looking at this and thinking, All right, what are our options here?
