The Los Angeles Clippers (4-9) visit the Philadelphia 76ers (7-5) tonight for a Monday night matchup at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philly.

Paul George is set to make his season debut — and it couldn’t come at a more crucial time. Kelly Oubre Jr. is out with an LCL injury after averaging 16.8 points and 5.1 rebounds with a strong two-way impact. Joel Embiid will miss his fourth straight game with knee soreness, leaving Tyrese Maxey once again shouldering the bulk of the offense.

Maxey has been spectacular all season, averaging 32.0 points and 7.8 assists. But in Friday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons, even his 31 points weren’t enough as the Sixers managed just 105 points after Oubre exited three minutes into the game.

Rookie VJ Edgecombe added 18 points while the streaky Quentin Grimes struggled, finishing with only nine. That makes George’s return especially important — though at 35 and coming off a knee procedure, it’s unclear how close he’ll be to full form.

The Clippers’ issues run deeper. They’re 2–8 over their last 10 games, their offense has cratered without Kawhi Leonard, and Bradley Beal’s season-ending injury has stripped away another potential scoring threat.

James Harden has carried the offense, dropping 37 in last night’s loss to the Boston Celtics — his third 35+ point performance in four games — but he hasn’t had enough help to keep them competitive.

Prediction

The Sixers, even without Embiid, have enough firepower with Maxey and a returning George to control this game. The Clippers simply don’t have the depth or shot creation to keep pace on the second night of a back-to-back.

Prediction: 76ers 122, Clippers 111
