SAN ANTONIO (May 16, 2025) – The Rock at La Cantera today announced its upcoming lineup of events for this summer, featuring the “Tastes of Summer” country concert series with multiple artist performances, special movie nights, sports watch parties and more.
The “Tastes of Summer” concert series features Taylor Hunnicutt on Saturday, June 7, JoJo DiSalvo on Saturday, June 28, The Band of Heathens on Saturday, July 5, and Bart Crow on Friday, July 18.
In addition to live music, The Rock will host local DJs to help beat the heat.
For hip hop fans, the longtime fan favorite series Rhythm and Beats will continue all summer long, with local DJs taking over Frost Plaza once a month for hours of spinning tracks. Fans of all music tastes can look forward to this summer full of free concerts while enjoying the outdoors and the many food and drink options on Frost Plaza, including the “happy hour every hour” menu for delicious deals.
NEW MOVIE NIGHTS
New this season, The Rock is rolling out the Superhero Sunday series for families looking to wind down their weekends at Frost Plaza. Transitioning from Sing-Along-Sundays to this new weekly series in June, the screenings will include titles from popular series such as The Incredibles, the Marvel cinematic universe, the Batman movies and more. Many of these screenings will be accompanied by themed, interactive activations like photobooths, costume contests and more to get the whole audience engaged.
The Rock’s popular regular events will continue thorughout the season.
First Friday Flix of the Month – Every first Friday of the month, bring the whole family out to Frost Plaza to catch a kid-friendly film starting at 7 p.m., with occasional double features starting at 5 p.m.
Fourth Friday at The Rock – Every fourth Friday of the month, Frost Plaza will have live music and local vendors for shoppers to browse and enjoy the entertainment from 6:30 to 11 p.m.
Support San Antonio Sports – As San Antonio FC continues their season, bring a lawn chair and blanket to Frost Plaza to catch some upcoming matches streamed on the big screen. Game times will vary. Spurs fans missing basketball action in the offseason can catch 2025 NBA Draft streaming on the big screen on Wednesday, June 25.
