Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is dealing with a right calf strain suffered in a game on Nov. 15 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Morant will be reevaluated in two weeks, meaning he’ll be sidelined for the game against the Sacramento Kings at FedExForum on Nov. 20.

Games like these are where Morant’s absence hurts most. Memphis (4-11) is on a five-game losing streak, but the Kings (3-12) haven’t been any better. Sacramento is on a seven-game losing streak.
Morant is averaging 17.9 points and 7.6 assists in 12 games this season.
If Morant was available, this would feel like a game the Grizzlies could dominate, but his absence makes the Western Conference matchup feel more like a toss-up.
Memphis is also without point guards Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe), Ty Jerome (calf) and Javon Small (toe).
Vince Williams Jr. and Cam Spencer will play in more primary playmaking roles without the point guards.
