Guard

Stud

Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,400)

The Suns are 9-6 on the season. Woohoo! Part of the success can be attributed to the soft schedule, but Booker has certainly led the way with his stellar play. He’s garnered a 29.8% usage rate and put up at least 40 FPTS in every contest but two, with both of those being blowouts. He has four games over 50 FPTS with two of those over 60 FPTS. Now, a very good Minnesota team comes into town, so Phoenix will need Booker to ball out to have any chance of being competitive. Jaden McDaniels is questionable for Minnesota, and while the Timberwolves still have Jaylen Clark to be a menace on defense, one less defender makes life easier for Booker.

Other Options: Donovan Mitchell ($9,300), Anthony Edwards ($9,200), Derrick White ($7,500), Norman Powell ($7,300), Trey Murphy III ($7,200), Jaime Jaquez Jr. ($7,000), Payton Pritchard ($6,800), Immanuel Quickley ($6,700), Bennedict Mathurin ($6,400), Kyshawn George ($6,100)

Value

Brandon Williams, Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans ($5,600)

Williams put up 31.5 and 40.8 FPTS in the first two starts he received. Since then, he’s settled in the 20 FPTS range while the playing time has dissipated somewhat. His struggles shooting from the perimeter have gotten Jason Kidd to play the hot hand between he and D’Angelo Russell. I think Williams gets back to his 30 FPTS ways in this one as the Pelicans are 28th in defensive rating and Williams’ jitterbug quickness should break down the Pelicans defense all night.

Other Options: Collin Gillespie ($5,800), Davion Mitchell ($5,400), Ayo Dosunmu ($5,000), Max Christie ($4,900), Anfernee Simons ($4,400), Craig Porter Jr. ($3,500)

Forward

Stud

Julius Randle, Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns ($8,600)

Randle is playing so well right now. He’s grabbing rebounds and his 6.1 dimes per game are a career-high, the second time he’s dished out at least six in a season. Randle is shooting 52% from the field, the first time over 50% since 2018. Randle was mired in the 70% range for free throws much of his career, but he got it to 80% last season and is now at 83%. That’s all translated to 25 points per game. The one stat I’m not buying into is the 1.2 steals, though, as he’s never racked up more than 0.9 per contest in a season. That said, Randle has put up over 50 FPTS in four of the last seven games.

Other Options: Michael Porter Jr. ($8,100), Jaime Jaquez Jr. ($7,000), P.J. Washington ($7,000)

Value

Derik Queen, New Orleans Pelicans at Dallas Mavericks ($5,500)

The matchup isn’t great as Dallas is fourth in defensive rating and has size in the frontcourt. That said, Queen is an excellent passer and has some handles for a man his size. Since November 4, a span of nine games, Queen has finished with at least 23 FPTS in all with five outings over 30 FPTS and a high of 53.8 FPTS, which he just did against Denver on Wednesday with 30 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals. Queen is such a solid player and provides a relatively high floor due to the all-around nature of his game. The moxie, patience and IQ are impressive for a rookie.

Other Options: Naz Reid ($5,900), De’Andre Hunter ($5,900), Naji Marshall ($5,500), Ayo Dosunmu ($5,000), Max Christie ($4,900), Noah Clowney ($4,700), Pelle Larsson ($4,100), Jay Huff ($3,800)

Center

Stud

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets at Houston Rockets ($13,200)

Jokic is expensive but he’s the GOAT. End of blurb.

Fine. Jokic has failed to put up 60 FPTS only three times this season, and those totals were 53, 59 and 59 FPTS. He’s gone over 80 FPTS three times this season, with two of those in the last four games. He’s not only a threat to triple-double every night but to also put up 100 FPTS.

Other Options: Alperen Sengun ($9,700), Bam Adebayo ($8,000), Nic Claxton ($6,700)

Value

Jakob Poeltl, Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards ($5,600)

After returning from injury, Poeltl was capped at 25 minutes, but then he got up to 30 minutes. Over the last two contests, Poeltl has played 33 and 32 minutes. He’s finished with at least 30 FPTS in five of the last six games. Now he gets to face a Wizards team that is sixth in pace and 29th in defensive rating.

Other Options: Naz Reid ($5,900), Derik Queen ($5,500), Neemias Queta ($5,300), Jay Huff ($3,800)
