UPDATE: Matas Buzelis has returned to Friday’s game vs. the Heat.

Chicago Bulls forward Matas Buzelis suffered a possible ankle injury during Friday’s game vs. the Miami Heat and was helped to the locker room.

Buzelis went down in the opening minutes of the third quarter after attempting to drive to the basket. He was holding his ankle after the fall and was checked out by the medical staff, who accompanied him back to the locker room. He does not yet have an official injury status, but has returned to the bench.

Buzelis played 13 minutes on Friday prior to the injury. He recorded six points, one rebound and one assist while in the game, making two of his three shot attempts and blocking one shot on the other end.

If he does not return, Patrick Williams or Jalen Smith are primary candidates to see additional minutes at the four in Buzelis’ stead.
