In Friday’s loss to the Mavericks, Trey Murphy III led the way for the Pelicans as he recorded 25 points and three rebounds while Zion Williamson added 22 points and four rebounds of his own.

Now New Orleans will try to bounce back on Saturday as they try to grab their third victory of the season in a though matchup against the Hawks.

On the other side, Atlanta enters Saturday’s contest with a 9-7 record after losing on the road to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the way for the Hawks in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 38 points, four rebounds and five assists while Jalen Johnson recorded 26 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Hawks, they have two players listed on their injury report for Saturday’s game against the Pelicans.

The Hawks have ruled out Trae Young for Saturday’s contest as he continues to recover from a right knee MCL sprain.

New Orleans has ruled out Williamson due to left hamstring injury management after playing 30 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Mavericks.

With Williamson sidelined, Yves Missi and Derik Queen may be in line for larger roles against the Hawks.

New Orleans has also ruled out Poole due to a left quad strain as he will miss his 10th consecutive contest.

With Poole still sidelined, Jeremiah Fears and Jose Alvarado will likely continue to have larger roles.

The Pelicans have also ruled out Karlo Matkovic due to a calf injury while Dejounte Murray remains sidelined as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles.
