Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton is scheduled to miss the 2025-26 season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The 25-year-old two-time All-NBA player has provided occasional updates (here and here) on his rehabilitation process, and on Friday, Nov. 21, he told the Prime Video broadcast he remains upbeat.

“I feel really good, maybe a little bit ahead (of schedule),” he said. “I feel good every day. Every day is a different battle. I have good days and bad days, but I feel good overall. I just stay engaged. It’s nice to some sense of normalcy and be with the guys all the time.”
When did Tyrese Haliburton get injured?
Despite dealing with a right calf issue for a while, Tyrese Haliburton scored 9 points in the opening minutes of Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder on June 22, 2025. He made a move toward the basket with about 5 minutes to go in the first quarter and fell to the court with a torn Achilles tendon. The Pacers lost 103-91.
A torn Achilles often requires an 8- to 10-month recovery. The Pacers said on July 7 that Haliburton would miss the 2025-26 season.
