The Southeast Division-leading Miami Heat are expected to get Tyler Herro back in the lineup for the first time since the All-Star guard had ankle surgery in September when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
Herro led Miami in 2024-25 with personal highs of 23.9 points and 5.5 assists per game while also averaging 5.2 rebounds in the first All-Star season of the 2019 first-round pick’s career.
He also appeared in a career-high 77 games and won the three-point contest during the league’s All-Star weekend.
Herro finished sixth in the NBA last season with 251 made three-pointers.
The Heat (11-6) have won four in a row and lead the Southeast by one-half game over the Atlanta Hawks (11-7), but current Miami leading scorer Normal Powell (25.4 ppg) will not play against Dallas (5-13) due to a strained left groin.
#DALvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro (ankle) is listed as questionable to play in tonight’s game vs the Mavs.
Norman Powell (left groin strain), Nikola Jovic (hip) and Andrew Wiggins (hip) have been ruled out.
