OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – A teacher from Elgin was recognized at an Oklahoma City Thunder game on Nov. 23.
Melissa Evon, a family and consumer science teacher at Elgin High School, was named the American Fidelity Teacher of the Game during the Thunder’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Evon received VIP seats and a gift bag with a gift card to go toward classroom supplies.
It’s not the only recognition Evon has received. In June, she was named the Oklahoma Teacher of the Year.
