PHOENIX – Devin Booker’s annual charity golf tournament quietly became one of Arizona’s most influential sports traditions, a rare event where competitive spirit, celebrity gravity, and community purpose all meet on the same fairway for a great cause. What started as a fundraiser has grown into a magnet for Arizona’s athletic royalty, drawing icons like Michael Phelps, Chris Paul, Diana Taurasi, and more, all while raising meaningful support and awareness for the Special Olympics.

The “Book It Golf Tournament” was in partnership with Booker’s foundation, along with Studio B Smiles. The unique power of this tournament lies in the activities surrounding the stars and the special olympics. The moment shared by everybody is truly one-of-a-kind and how Booker gives his free time and brings other stars to highlight such a special event is something that truly captivates more than just NBA and Suns fans.

Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian in history, has attended multiple times, not just as a guest, but as a committed supporter of Booker’s mission. Diana Taurasi’s and Chris Paul’s presence adds another layer as the Valley’s basketball DNA connects across leagues, generations, and identities. When stars of that magnitude gather for a cause, it signals something deeper about the culture Booker is building.

Each year, participation increases, and what Suns fans see is a laid-back day on the course; what’s happening behind the scenes is strategic community investment with long-term impact. Booker isn’t simply raising awareness; he’s declaring that Arizona athletes can create sustained change by moving as a unit. This tournament is a reminder that the Valley’s sports scene is more interconnected than ever. It builds community, strengthens fan identity, and shows that the stars they cheer for truly care.
