SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs (11-5) will visit the Portland Trail Blazers (8-10) and look to get their first win on the four-game road trip.
The Spurs are coming off a 111-102 road loss against the Suns. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 26 points and three assists.
Kelly Olynyk had four, and Keldon Johnson finished with 14. Devin Vassell scored 17 and Julian Champagnie had 10. Harrison Barnes recorded 11 points, and Jeremy Sochan added seven.
The Suns connected on 10-21 three-point shots in the second half while the Spurs committed 19 turnovers. Victor Wembanyama, Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle did not play due to injury.
“I think we allowed their physicality to dictate the game. I think that is where a lot of our turnovers came from. I think we only turned them over two times at halftime,” said Fox. “I am not sure what we ended the game with, but we can not allow that physicality to just dictate the game like that; we have to be able to hit them first. Even when we were up double digits, we were losing the rebound battle.”
