Nikola Jokic led the Denver Nuggets to a 125–115 win over Memphis with a triple-double, proving vital as Aaron Gordon faces a 4–6 week injury setback.

The Denver Nuggets keep taking hits this season, and at times it feels like the schedule is conspiring against them.
But despite the injuries, the churn, and a rotation held together by tape, one constant refuses to waver: Nikola Jokic is still Nikola Jokic.
With Denver needing a statement win and Memphis searching for anything to feel good about, the Nuggets prevailed 125–115 — powered by another absurd all-around performance from their two-time MVP.
Jokic finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 16 assists, and 2 steals in just under 34 minutes, logging his 10th triple-double in only 17 games. And yet the stat line almost undersells what he actually did.
Jokic’s No-Look Magic Strikes Again
The highlight of the night came late in the fourth. With just over a minute left and the Grizzlies ramping up pressure, Jokic drove left into the paint as Cam Spencer arrived for the double-team.
Most players would’ve picked up the dribble or forced something awkward.
But, Jokic? He spun, didn’t even look, and slung a left-handed, behind-the-back bounce pass that hit a cutting Peyton Watson perfectly in stride for an uncontested layup.
A pass so outrageous it felt like a glitch in real time.
The play stretched Denver’s lead, sealed the result, and served as yet another reminder: nobody in basketball sees the floor like Jokic.
And Earlier… a Half-Court Heave, Because Why Not
Earlier, as the third quarter expired, Jokic casually launched a half-court shot that splashed through as if it were a warmup jumper.
No celebration. No reaction.
Just Jokic walking away like it was nothing — the “chill guy” persona fully intact.
Denver Needs Every Ounce of Jokic Going Forward
The win offers a dose of momentum, but Denver’s challenges are far from over. The latest setback — a significant injury to Aaron Gordon, sidelining him 4–6 weeks — means the Nuggets will need every last ounce of Jokic’s brilliance to navigate the upcoming stretch.
For now, though, on a night when Denver needed direction, Jokic reminded everyone: The Joker still runs the show.
