“I’ll be the first to say that wasn’t the right thing to do [to bench Hart in fourth quarters] because he does so many great things for us and our group and our coaching staff,” Brown said. “And obviously as time has gone on, we’ve gotten a better feel for how we’re going to play him and he’s got a better feel, too. But back then he obviously could’ve b—hed or complained or threw a fit. He didn’t. “And he continued to believe in the process, even though what I was doing was wrong at the time.” New York Post | Nov. 27, 2025

New York Knicks star Josh Hart had a $185,000 stash of his watches and jewelry stolen from a SoHo hotel room where he’d been staying earlier this year, The Post has learned. Hart, 30, dropped off his duffle bag inside The Dominick Hotel on Spring Street near Varick Street around 12:30 p.m. Sept. 5 – and when he returned about an hour later, his watch case was missing from inside, cops and sources said. The case held three watches and one bracelet worth a total of $185,000, police said. New York Post | Nov. 27, 2025

You had a footnote in the book where you wanted to speak with D’Angelo Russell about his first stint with the Lakers, and he said he didn’t have anything good to say about them and could talk with you then and there, and then funny enough, he gets traded to the Lakers six months later. Did you find a lot of other former players who had animosity towards the Lakers? Yaron Weitzman: I did not get much animosity. Russell Westbrook did not want to talk. I’m guessing there would be animosity there, but he didn’t talk to me. I don’t wanna say animosity, but I got the impression that Josh Hart’s experience there was not great that first year with the Lakers. But honestly, none of those guys had a good experience. I spoke to Brandon Ingram about it and he acknowledged that it was tough and some things LeBron did that year frustrated him. But he also said, looking back, I was immature and looking back, I understand, I have more understanding of it. HoopsHype | Nov. 27, 2025

Mike Brown revealed last week that Mitchell Robinson’s agent is part of the group dictating the load management program, which is aimed at preserving the center’s long-term health but was also shrouded in mystery to start this season with four consecutive DNPs. “[Knicks VP of Sports Medicine Casey Smith] is the one who dictates it along with Mitch and doctors and Mitch’s agent,” Brown said before Wednesday’s victory over the Mavericks. “So whatever they tell me, I’m just recycling what Casey says to Mitch, but I try to communicate with Mitch as much as possible.” New York Post | Nov. 25, 2025

Josh Hart said he didn’t mean to grab pesky Jalen Suggs by the neck. Hart picked up a technical in the fourth quarter of the Knicks’ 133-121 loss to the Magic on Saturday after fighting Suggs for a loose ball, an exchange that ended after the Knicks player’s right hand wrapped around Suggs’ throat. “It was a loose ball. Obviously, we’re jockeying for the ball. I wasn’t even looking at him,” Hart said. “I was looking at the basketball, and I didn’t realize I hit him in the neck until they slowed it down second by second. A play where bodies are flying and hands are flying. “Unfortunately, I got him there. But it was nothing purposeful. That stuff’s happening like this,” Hart said snapping his fingers. “I don’t think I had enough time to process on a loose ball grabbing him by the neck.” New York Post | Nov. 23, 2025

James L. Edwards III: Mike Brown: “Obviously, tough game for us, but I got to keep preaching about it being the next man up. But, in our case, it’s the next man up, next man up and next man up.” Bluesky | Nov. 22, 2025

But until that happens — or maybe even after that happens — the coach said Robinson isn’t expected to play much down the stretch of close contests. “Obviously, he’s got to make free throws. We have a rotation and most times in the rotation at the end of games Josh [Hart] is going to be out there [at power forward],” Brown said. “So [Robinson] won’t be out there a ton, but if we need a rebound, he’s going to be out there. “And he’s got to knock down the free throws. And he’s working at it, we’re working at it with him, and I truly believe he’s going to get better.” New York Post | Nov. 21, 2025

What does Klay Thompson remember first about Mike Brown?  “His incredible Harley-Davidson collection,” Thompson said with a smile in an interview with The Post before the Knicks managed to pull off a 113-111 win over the Mavericks.  Indeed, Brown owns Harleys, but he also left a strong coaching impression on Thompson before and during their years together with the Warriors. New York Post | Nov. 20, 2025
