Bryan Armetta breaks down Friday’s six-game featured NBA slate to find three undervalued players to slot into your lineups.

After a Thanksgiving hiatus, basketball is back with a six-game NBA Cup featured slate. With so many teams taking the floor, superstars are not in short demand. Names such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Cade Cunningham, and Jalen Brunson are all in action tonight.

Still, as any fantasy basketball manager knows, you can’t build a team just of high-priced players. Which lesser known options are worth consideration on Friday? Here are three to target in DFS and season-long formats.

SG/SF A.J. Green, Milwaukee Bucks at NYK ($4,800)

It’s no secret that the Knicks struggle to defend from beyond the arc. New York has coughed up the third-most three-pointers per game to opponents (15.4). Those issues have been amplified in the absence of OG Anunoby (hamstring). Keeping that in mind, any opposing sharpshooter should light up at the chance to visit Madison Square Garden. That includes A.J. Green, arguably Milwaukee’s most consistent role player. Through 19 games, the 26-year-old is averaging 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists to go with 48/46/76 shooting splits.

The Bucks should operate more efficiently on offense now that Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,500) is back from injury. If the Greek Freak is on the floor (currently questionable) there should be more chances for wide-open shots. During Milwaukee’s most recent outing, vs. the Heat, Green notched 12 points via four three-pointers. In addition, he chipped in with five rebounds and eight assists en route to 36.2 fantasy points. New York has given up the fifth-friendliest fantasy defense to opposing shooting guards, as well. With or without Giannis, Green is poised for another solid stat line.

SF/PF Dominick Barlow, Philadelphia 76ers at BKN ($4,500)

No team is more volatile from night to night than the 76ers. That’s due primarily to their ever-changing injury report. Tonight, Joel Embiid (knee), Adem Bona (ankle), Trendon Watford (adductor), Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) and V.J. Edgecombe (calf) are all out tonight. In addition, Paul George (ankle) is questionable. That leaves Philadelphia with plenty of minutes up for grabs, especially in the front court. One of the players that should see a playing time increase is Dominick Barlow. Against Orlando on Tuesday, he logged 11 points, six rebounds and two assists over 31 minutes (23 FPTS).

Those aren’t eye-popping numbers, but they came against one of the NBA’s top defenses. Friday’s matchup presents a much easier challenge. The Nets have coughed up the ninth-most points, eighth-most rebounds and fifth-most assists per game to opponents. Brooklyn has also surrendered the third-most fantasy points to small forwards. Add it all up, and there’s every reason to think Barlow can improve upon Tuesday’s performance.

PG T.J. McConnell, Indiana Pacers vs. WAS ($4,000)

Lost in the shuffle of a miserable Pacers campaign is the return of T.J. McConnell. The guard has earned his reputation as one of the NBA’s best reserves, offering a little bit of everything. Through eight games this season, the veteran is averaging 10.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists. In addition, he’s shooting 50% from the field. Those aren’t eye-popping numbers, but McConnell is working his way back from injury; some rust is to be expected.

Tonight’s matchup presents a golden opportunity against arguably the worst team in basketball. Washington has allowed the most fantasy points to point guards this season. McConnell comes into Friday with some momentum, having notched 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists vs. Toronto (32.8 FPTS). Most important, he logged a season-high 24 minutes. That should only continue to increase for injury-depleted Indiana. Against the miserable Wizards, McConnell is a steal at $4,000.
