Duke basketball vs Florida video preview, players to watch, predictions
Anna Snyder and Andrew Abadie of the USA Today Network give their storylines, players to watch and predictions for Duke basketball vs. Florida.
Florida basketball will take on No. 4 Duke in a top 25 clash at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
The Gators (5-2) went 1-1 last week after falling to TCU, but bounced back with a win against Providence. The Blue Devils (8-0) earned a win against Arkansas on Thanksgiving day.
This is UF’s first visit since 1998 and will be the third meeting since 2000. On the road, the Gators are 3-33 at top five opponents with a 1-2 mark under Florida head coach Todd Golden.
Florida’s front court has posted 11 double-doubles this season with Reuben Chinyelu’s four leading the way. In all five wins this season, the Gators have had multiple players post a double-double.
“Growing up loving college basketball, Duke was a program that I followed closely,” Golden said. “I had family members that attended there. So to be able to, you know, in the professional part of my career get an opportunity to go coach there is really special, and obviously we’re looking forward to the opportunity.”
