Cade Cunningham is off to a fabulous start for the Detroit Pistons. On Tuesday, his standout season was acknowledged.
Cunningham has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for games played through October and November, the NBA announced. He led the Pistons (17-4) to a 16-4 start in that span while averaging 28.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 9.4 assists on 45.6% overall shooting.Â
On the season, he has entered the MVP discussion while averaging 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game. It has been a historic start for the Pistons, who matched their franchise-best with a 13-game winning streak.
J.B. Bickerstaff was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month.
Bickerstaff, 46 and in his second year, is 61-42 in Detroit, after leading the Pistons’ historic turnaround of 44-38 and a playoff berth in 2024-25.
