In Tuesday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Trey Murphy III led the way for the Pelicans as he recorded 33 points, 15 rebounds and four assists while Saddiq Bey added 22 points and six rebounds of his own.
Now New Orleans will try to bounce back on Thursday night as they try to avoid back-to-back losses to the Timberwolves.
On the other side, Minnesota enters Thursday’s contest with a 13-8 record after defeating the Pelicans on the road on Tuesday.

Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves in Tuesday’s victory as he ended the game with 44 points, five rebounds and four assists while Rudy Gobert recorded 26 points and 13 rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

This is great news for Minnesota as their roster has been able to stay somewhat healthy this season and they will look to use that to their advantage on Thursday against a beat-up New Orleans team as they try to grab their 14th victory of the season.

Pelicans Injury Report, Will Zion Williamson, Jordan Poole Play?
On the other side, the Pelicans have six players listed on their injury report, including both Zion Williamson and Jordan Poole.

New Orleans has ruled out Williamson due to a right adductor strain that is expected to sideline him for at least three weeks.
With Williamson sidelined, Bey and Derik Queen could continue to have larger roles for the Pelicans.
The Pelicans have also ruled out Jordan Poole due to a left quad strain as he continues to be sidelined.

Herb Jones has also been ruled out due to a right calf strain while Yves Missi will be sidelined with right foot and ankle soreness.
Dejounte Murray also remains sidelined as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles and Karlo Matkovic has been listed as questionable with a right calf strain.
